O meu jogo da vida.

Há 16 peças para cada enxadrista.

Antes de eu me dar conta disso, costumava ouvir Fiona Apple recitando "When the pawn hits de conflicts..." me sentindo firme e confiante.

Diz assim a poesia:

When the pawn hits the conflicts...he thinks like a King.
What he knows throws the blows when he goes to the fight.
And he´ll win the whole thing ´fore he enters the ring
There´s nobody to batter when your mind is your might.
So when you go solo, you hold your own hand and remember that depth is the greatest of heights
And if you know where you stand, then you know where to land
And if you fall it won´t matter, cause you´ll know that you´re right.

A verdade é que não há rodada com um só jogador. E não adianta apenas preencher as lacunas existentes: é preciso estratégia para o xeque-mate.

Não sei jogar xadrez.
Tentei aprender quando era criança, mas o Rei e a Rainha desistiram.
And now I stand alone, sick and tired, in cold... cold silence.

- Rescue me.
